Tired of mailing holiday cards? In 1991, Mrs. Annie Robinson of Bessemer City had the idea to post her greeting card as a large sign in her front yard. "I don't send greeting cards but I do want everyone to know I am thinking of them and wish them a Merry Christmas," she said.
Publication in the Bessemer City Record newspaper definitely helped deliver her holiday greeting to those who might not pass that way.
