Looking for a Good --Not Necessarily New-- Book? 2

When the library started its first blog using tumblr™, librarian Michele Risinger posted teasers and reviews of books and online games she found interesting. (Hence the pseudonym “The Techie Librarian.”) This review was first published on the library's tumblr 6/18/2015

Title: George & the Virgin

Author: Lisa Cach

Genre: Time Travel Romance, Humorous Romance

Contains: Sexual Content

So how good are you at not judging a book by its cover?

Let’s face it – this one is classic “bodice ripper” (that guy on the cover cracks me up). The story, however, is an interesting and fun tale about a 21st century guy who finds himself in a medieval village and tasked with killing the local dragon. Did I mention that in the modern world he is a pro wrestler? And that he thinks he’s dreaming all this? Also, the virgin isn’t that interested in being rescued: she has become quite wealthy after so many years of punishing the village that sentenced her and her charges to be fed to the very dragon George is there to kill. A charming but bumbling hero and a not-so-distressed damsel creates a wonderful story that is perfect for a quiet spring afternoon read. [The Techie Librarian]
